Dr Vats has been extensively trained in the Interventional pulmonology from most prestigious university hospitals from Germany (Thorax-clini, Heidelberg, Ruhrland clinic, university of medicine, Essen), Ancona hospital, Italy and Government hospital in Greece, under the guidance of Pioneer Professors of Interventional Pulmonology in Europe (Dr Prof Felix Herth, Dr Prof Eberhardt R, Dr Prof Kaid Darwisch, Dr Schumann, Prof. S Gaspirini ) and has been selected for the prestigious American company Trialect Fellowship in Interventional Pulmonology and Bronchoscopy to be done from Italy.

Apart from this, Dr Vats is a Teaching Faculty for Dubai medical college -for teaching undergraduate students and co-director of the ARAB board fellowship program in Respiratory medicine in Rashid hospital. Dr Vats is consistently involved in the research and academic activities in Rashid hospital & Dubai hospital, Dubai Health authority,UAE and Dubai medical college REFERENCE, Dubai and writing newspapers, health magazine article, Radio talks REFERENCE for patient education.
